Ms. Pooja Tomar is a highly accomplished Forensic Psychologist and the Founder-Director of the Centre for Forensic-Clinical Psychology (CFCP). She completed her postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in India, where she gained a deep understanding of the human mind and behavior. Following this, she pursued an M. Phil from the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in India, where she specialized in forensic psychology, honing her expertise in the intersection of psychology and law.
Currently, Ms. Tomar serves as an Empanelled Psychologist at the Juvenile Justice Board, where she plays a crucial role in providing psychological assessments and interventions for young individuals within the justice system. Her dedication to this field has led to work experience with prestigious organizations such as the Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO), Delhi Police, Women and Child Department (WCD) in Delhi, and various NGOs, where she has provided essential forensic psychological services, contributing to furthering the understanding of human behavior in legal contexts.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Tomar has been actively involved in conducting forensic-clinical workshops, seminars, webinars, and internship programs on a wide array of psychology topics aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of forensic psychology within academic institutions, organizations, and the community at large. Her commitment to educating and training future practitioners underscores her passion for advancing the field of forensic psychology and addressing critical issues at the intersection of psychology and the legal system.
